I didn't think my parents were close relatives, but maybe they were... The MixMonitor command *appeared* to work on my Asterisk 1.4.21 system, but didn't produce any files. I finally realized that my test wasn't actually bridging to another connection; I removed the "b" option and life was good. Ha!
